On this tour you can visit a restored French trading post and Indian
village, The Fort a Follet ' . Visit the 30,000 acre Crex Meadows
Wildlife Area, a wonderful place to visit during the spring and fall
migration periods. Hike, bike, snowmobile, or ATV (depending on
season) the 50 mile Gandy Dancer Trail in Burnett County, canoe
the scenic NAMEKAGON river, part of the National Scenic
River way, watch woodcarvers create carousel animals in Barronett and
hike through forests, meadows and bogs at the
Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary in Sarona. |
You can also visit the
Boyer Creek Deer Ranch, or an apple farm/museum, or a trout farm.
If you feel lucky you can stop to gamble at the St. Croix Tribal
Casino in Turtle Lake.
The tour runs from Baldwin north to Spooner on Hwy 63, then west on
70 to Grantsburg then south on Hwys 48, 46, and 65 to Roberts then
east on 12 to end up back in Baldwin.
