WILDLIFE AT LARGE-
Capture wildlife with a camera, a bow or
firearm. The over 150,000 acres of public land in Washburn County offer
superb opportunities to capture that record whitetail deer, black bear,
waterfowl, grouse, wild turkey and other small game. Call the Washburn

seasons, permits and fees.
For the hunters, many of our resorts offer processing and freezing
services.
Hunters please note: PROTECTED
SPECIES - have
found refuge here. Wolves, Bald Eagles, Osprey and Loons are among
the those that reside in our wild and even not so wild areas.
There have been reports of moose, and cougar also in the area
occasionally. Know what you are shooting at before you pull the
trigger or bow string. We will all thank you for it.
